A stay-at-home Mother of two seeks solace in creating one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry using both new and vintage components. With two very active little boys at home, I very much look forward to the quiet time I have in the evenings and on the weekends (thanks to my husband) where I can be inspired in my craft room. I'm been crafty since I can remember. Being raised in a family where there were painters, quilters, bakers, seamstresses, and florists, I found my niche in beading when I was just 11 years old. As the majority of the custom requests I received over the past few years have been wedding related, I recently launched a shop on Etsy specializing in wedding jewelry and accessories - SweetBriarBridal.etsy.com. I'm inspired by vintage jewelry, and as such often incorporate vintage elements from pieces that are broken or outdated. I just LOVE pouring through antiques shops and fairs looking for hidden gems - whether it's a vintage rhinestone clasp or brooch, glass pearls, or fabulous heavy crystal beads. As such, many of my pieces feature "something old, something new" for the bride-to-be and her wedding attendants...and sometimes, even "something blue."
