I think the first time anyone picks up a barbed needle and pokes at the wool they are hooked. And the adventure begins. It almost seems magical to take a flat piece of wool and poke it into the shape you want. I especially like to create baby animals. Something about the innocence in their expression.

In addition to needle felting I have a background in graphic design and worked in that capacity in the printing industry for 13 years. I attended the University of West Virginia as an art major and art, in some form, has always been a part of my life.

I have, by request, 16 pieces in Artspring, a new art gallery in Silver Springs, Maryland and an ornament of mine will be featured in the next edition of Better Homes and Gardens Holiday Ornament Magazine.
