Monday fun day! I bring you the fabulous...
Fabric Greetings
My name is Alyce Templeton and I live with my husband of 43 years in
the town of Elkton, MD. We are the proud parents of an adult daughter
who currently works as an elementary school media specialist. I retired
from teaching when our daughter was born. however I still teach at
local quilting shops. I have been sewing since I was 5 and my love of
fabrics grew from the scraps I was allowed to play with from the onset.
My Mom made dance recital costumes in the late 40's and 50's. So I got
to play with lots of glittery glitzy fabrics.
For many years I
designed, made and taught the art of whimsical cloth doll making.
However severe osteoarthritis on my hands has prevented me from doing
that. So I have turned my attentions to these fabric postcards. They
are done entirely by machine and are so much fun to do. I have always
believed that special people deserve special cards - ones that are not
mass produced. When you send one of these cards, the recipient isn't
the only one who enjoys it. The mailman does too! I know from
experience.
My other business is making one of a kind clothing
for the 18" doll. If I am sewing, I am relaxing. When we travel, the
sewing machine has its own place in the car.
I hope you enjoy looking through my shop and give some thought to surprising someone special with a one of a kind card.

Alyce is such a wonderful, talented and creative woman who is just supportive of her friends on Etsy. I proud to call her my friend. Her post cards are unique and I have never heard of something like this before. She just is so caring and I'm glad that she chose fabric as her art of choice..I just love her! Trudy
